As this extraordinary year draws to a close and we prepare to celebrate the Christmas holiday I want to thank everyone in our book-loving community for the remarkable support you’ve provided throughout these challenging times. In this season of gift giving, you have given us the greatest gift of all by your unwavering, loyal support.
I am humbled and truly touched on a daily basis by your outpouring of appreciation, your kind words – for my staff and for what we do. My goal has always been to bring you books, but to also offer and build community which we have continued to attempt even in these exceptionally trying times.
It may be difficult to embrace “tis the season to be jolly” this year with so little of the usual holiday festivity allowed - no eggnog-soaked office parties, family gatherings, sitting on Santa’s lap or fancy black-tie parties. Still, it IS “the most wonderful time of the year”. And the dearest gifts are our family and friends whether we can gather round the yuletide tree or not.
Regardless of circumstances, the spirit of the season has always been one of hope and joy and wonder. Let’s not let go of that. And let’s carry this spirit into the new year. Loving, sharing, giving. Reading!

While we are once again in “lockdown, shelter in place mode”, retail operations such as ours are allowed to stay open and continue operating at 20% capacity. All of the usual pandemic protocols remain in place. Be sure to MASK UP.
